A family owned business
James & Alex Balfour own The Tides. They sympathetically renovated the hotel after buying the lodge in 2004.

Managed by our new business partners and family friends
James and Alex have joined together with their great friends Mark and Lisa Rollans. Mark and Lisa handle the day to day running of The Tides.

Mark and Lisa have been running quality restaurants in the USA for the last 15 years including:-
- The Snake River Grill in Jackson Hole, Wyoming,
- The Teton Pines Country Club, Jackson Hole
- and their own restaurant - The Timberline in Victor, Idaho.
They bring to The Tides their friendly and attentive American style of service.
Our friendly Staff
We have a wonderful team of over 30 local staff. This includes Chefs and Waiters specially trained by us.
Our own Carpenters
We also employ our own Carpenters who make all our furniture.
Our own drivers
We have 3 vehicles and our own drivers will accompany you on trips.
